I look for high quality antiques for my home. I do not care for the modern furniture so I found Evanstonia a few years back when I was looking for a large antique desk. I found it at this wonderful antique store in Chicago at Evanstonia. My experience was great. I realized that I had not only found a great store but the owner Ziggy knows antiques better than anyone I have met. He took time with me answered my concerns and I purchased a one of a kind wood desk that I am so proud to own, it is a treasure. Since that purchase I have returned to the store several times and have purchased several antiques, most recently I trusted Ziggy to restore my Mahogany Antique settee. The results are incredibly gorgeous. He restored it back to its' original condition (a true Museum piece). I find antiques at Evanstonia that I enjoy in my home and will one day pass them on to my children. This is the place for anyone looking for high quality Antiques, this store is always filled with a large selection. I recommend my family, friends and everyone that I talk with about antiques or restorations to Ziggy. I feel that we are so fortunate to have this source available to us right here in Chicago. Great place.
